  • March 2021 – Virtual premiere of a new work for solo violin by Lena Vidulich
  • April 9th, 2021 – Premiere of new prepared piano piece by Shi-An Costello livestreamed on Experimental Sound Studio’s Quarantine Concerts. Album of the commissions will be released on Bandcamp on the same day.
  • April 2021 – Premiere of a new work commissioned by the North Carolina-based earspace. I am planning this work within the confines of lockdowns and separation. It will include a video component, and is being composed au(o)rally, with minimal use of notation. All performances are actively participating in the compositional process. Date of streaming/performance to be announced soon!

  • January 25, 2019 –Conducting Amalgama’s workshop at WHEELS school in Washington Heights, featuring performances of Tanner Porter’s Heather, Barry Sharp’s Bluebell, Salina Fisher’s Kingfish, and some free and structured improvisations featuring the students.

  • November 7, 2018 – Conducting Amalgama’s workshop with the Berkeley Carroll’s school’s 4th graders, including performances of Luis Fernando Amaya’s Sky-Wire and Maria Kaoutzani’s Adder, as well as some free improvisation involving the children.
  • October 21, 2018 – Conducting Amalgama’s opening concert of the season, performing Luis Fernando Amaya’s Sky-Wire, Maria Kaoutzani’s Adder, and Michal Massoud’s Strangler Fig. Will also participate in a free improv using percussion instruments and the piano. Areté Venue and Gallery, Brooklyn, NY.

  • June 12, 2018 – Performed at the piano for “Amalgama at Areté,” a concert featuring works by Dennehy, Quinn Collins, a structured improvisation for quintet written by me, and a free improvisation with me at the piano featuring Amalgama’s percussionist, Caitlin Cawley, and guest performer Nina Dante. Areté Venue and Gallery, Brooklyn, NY.
  • June 8-10, 2018 — Musical director and conductor of Simulacrum, a multi-media opera produced by PATH New Music Theatre.   • April 15, 2018 — New composition for tape in collaboration with pianist and cook Idith Korman as part of Francesca Ferrara and Emma Ressel’s event, Common Senses, that brought together composers, cooks, and performers. The event also featured a tasting and free improvisation by Amalgama in which I performed on guitar. Mayday Space, Brooklyn, NY.
