• June 8-10, 2018 — Musical director and conductor of Simulacrum, a multi-media opera produced by PATH New Music Theatre. Featuring 6 composers (Reiko Füting, Longfei Li, Meng Wang, James Diaz, Peters Kramer, and Yangzhi Ma), directed by Arthur Makaryan, sung by Lucy Dhegrae, Nina Dante, and Nathaniel Sullivan. 3-Legged Dog (3LD), Manhattan, NY. 8 pm performances.
  • June 12, 2018 – Will be performing at the piano for “Amalgama at Areté,” a concert featuring works by Dennehy, Quinn Collins, a structured improvisation for quintet written by me, and a free improvisation with me at the piano featuring Amalgama’s percussionist, Caitlin Cawley, and guest performer Nina Dante.
  • June 20, 2018 – Conducting the Reaching for the Arts choir in their end-of-the-year concert, “Whistle a Happy Tune.” Kauffman Center, Ann Goodman Recital Hall, Manhattan, NY. 6 pm. 
  • Fall 2018 – Conducting several performances of Lost Words, a collection of pieces featuring poems by the acclaimed English poet Robert McFarlane, taken from his recent book The Lost Words. The ten compositions are commissions by Amalgama in collaboration with composers Luis Amaya, Fjóla Evans, Eli Greenhoe, Barry Sharp, Taylor Brook, Ashkan Behzadi, Maria Kaoutzani, Tanner Porter, Salina Fisher, and Reiko Füting. Performance details coming up soon, but will feature performances at many NYC and Westchester locations, including schools, libraries, and other venues. Amalgama will also be performing in Ithaca, NY, and Boston, MA.

  • April 15, 2018 — New composition for tape in collaboration with pianist and cook Idith Korman as part of Francesca Ferrara and Emma Ressel’s event, Common Senses, that brings together composers, cooks, and performers.
