I wrote this piece between May and September 2008 as a summer project. I decided to compose a piece for myself, without concerns of playability, or the usual specific-performance-related limitations. I was interested in playing with colors, using both orchestration and harmony to do so. The piece consists of brush-strokes across the orchestra, that are simultaneously broad and extremely detailed. Time is also frequently treated as a malleable, frozen entity.
